How do I measure my Composite Door?
To get accurate measurements for your composite door, measure the brick-to-brick opening at three points (top, middle, and bottom) for both width and height. Use the smallest measurement in each case.
👉 Important: The total height must include the door cill, which is typically 30mm high.

Do composite doors require much maintenance?
Composite doors are low-maintenance. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap occasionally to keep them looking their best.
Will my composite be fire proof?
Typically, no, standard composite doors are not fireproof. However, we do supply and install fire-rated composite doors, known as FD30 composite doors, which are specifically designed to provide fire resistance for up to 30 minutes.
Are composite doors secure?
Yes, composite doors are among the most secure front and back doors available. Our doors come with multi-point locking systems, reinforced frames, and solid or foam cores designed for strength. They’re tested to meet high security standards and are an excellent choice for keeping your home safe.
How long do composite doors last?
A high-quality composite door can last 25–30 years or more with minimal maintenance. Thanks to their durable outer skin (usually made from GRP – glass-reinforced plastic), they’re highly resistant to weathering, warping, and fading.
Can I install a composite door myself?
Yes, if you’re experienced with fitting doors, composite doors can be installed as a DIY project. We provide all doors fully pre-hung in their frame, with hinges and locks fitted — making the job easier. However, for best results and to avoid issues with alignment or sealing, we recommend using a professional installer.
