Terms Of Sale
Doorland UK — Terms of Sale
1. General
1.1 These Terms of Sale govern all purchases from Doorland (“we”, “us”, “our”).
1.2 By placing an order, you (“the customer”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.3 These Terms are intended to comply with applicable UK law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
2. Orders & Cancellations
2.1 All doors are manufactured and/or ordered specifically to your chosen size, specification and design.
2.2 Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day cancellation (cooling-off) period does not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
2.3 This means that once your order has been placed and production has commenced, you cannot cancel or receive a refund except as required by law (for example, if the product is faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
2.4 You must double-check all measurements, colours and specifications before placing your order.
3. Customer Measurements & Surveys
3.1 You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all measurements you provide to us.
3.2 If the sizes submitted are incorrect, any resulting issues, costs or replacement needs are your responsibility.
3.3 If requested, we may help you find a surveyor to assist with measuring. This is provided as a courtesy only.
3.4 Any contract with a surveyor is strictly between you and them. Their advice or services are used at your own risk and we accept no responsibility or liability for their work, conduct or availability.
4. Payment
4.1 Full payment must be made at the time of order, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.2 Goods will not be released for delivery until payment has been received in full (and cleared where applicable).
5. Delivery, Inspection & Risk
5.1 We will arrange delivery to the address you provide. Delivery dates are estimates only and may change.
5.2 Deliveries to many areas operate on a scheduled route (often once per week). While we would like to offer more frequent delivery slots, availability can be limited due to route planning and vehicle capacity.
5.3 You (or your representative) must inspect the goods upon delivery and notify us as soon as reasonably possible of any visible damage, missing items or obvious issues.
5.4 Signing a delivery note confirms receipt of the goods. It does not affect your statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty or not as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5.5 Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
5.6 You should not schedule any installation work until you have physically received your full order and thoroughly checked all items. This helps avoid inconvenience in the rare event of a delay or issue with your delivery.
5.7 If anything changes with your delivery, we will let you know as soon as possible.
6. Quality Control & Remakes
6.1 At Doorland UK, we are committed to delivering your products on time and to the highest possible standard.
6.2 Occasionally, an item may not pass our Quality Control checks. If this happens, a remake may be required and your delivery may be delayed.
6.3 Where a remake is required, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Product Descriptions
7.1 All descriptions, photographs and specifications on our website are for guidance only. Minor variations may occur.
7.2 It is your responsibility to ensure the product selected is suitable for your requirements.
8. Supply-Only Basis
8.1 Our service is strictly supply-only. We do not provide installation.
8.2 If we assist you in finding or recommending a surveyor, installer or fitter, this is done as a courtesy only.
8.3 Any contract you enter into with a third party is entirely between you and them. We accept no responsibility for their workmanship, advice or availability.
9. Faulty Goods & Warranties
9.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to receive goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
9.2 If your door is defective or not as described, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.
9.3 Claims for defects must be made in writing within 7 days of delivery, or within a reasonable time if the defect could not have been discovered on delivery.
9.4 Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain products. These are provided directly by the manufacturer and are subject to their terms.
10. Liability
10.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any matter which cannot be excluded under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the goods supplied.
10.3 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to installation costs, delays or loss of profits.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 We are not liable for delays or failures to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, transport disruptions, strikes or extreme weather.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
